Ms. Erin  Lead Teacher, Butterflies (ages 3-4)

Erin is excited to join us as the lead teacher of the Butterflies. She holds a Bachelors in Health and Physical Education from The University of Maryland and a Masters in Educational Leadership from The University of West Florida. She has been married to her husband Mike for 14 years and has two very active kiddos who attend LTISD schools. Mike flew F/A-18’s in the United States Marine Corps before retiring three years ago, so since being married they have had a happy and crazy life in seven states! They moved to the Lake Travis area in 2017 and are hoping their roots are now firmly planted.

Erin began her teaching career at Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Jackson, NJ, which is near her hometown on the Jersey Shore. After getting married she and Mike were stationed in Pensacola, Florida where she had the amazing opportunity to transition into the classroom as an integrated 6-8 teacher at a nationally recognized magnet school, Brown-Barge Middle School and she loved every moment of it. When their oldest was born they made the decision that she would stay at home full time.

Their years on active duty were a very busy and unique time. In addition to balancing and managing her families daily life, Mike’s leadership roles in the Marine Corps provided Erin with a number of opportunities to serve military families especially young moms and children. Planning and hosting events for preschool and school age children was certainly a highlight of their military journey! Erin was also fortunate to spent countless hours serving as a room mom, and volunteering her time in her children’s classrooms and schools.

Erin is thrilled to be back in the classroom and joining the My Time family!
